The 9 AM Mobile Connect

If Digital Marketing is my passion then a Healthy lifestyle is my obsession. From now on, I will blog on Lifestyle Niche on my website. I will try to pen down 2 to 3 Blogs per week. Today’s blog is a small lifestyle tip to combat Digital distraction we encounter every morning. I came across a video for the same by Mr. Robin Sharma author of “The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari” & “The 5 AM Club” & liked the solution he gave to fight Digital Distraction.

One of the things he mentioned in the video is to start your Phone Internet at 9 AM after you are done with your morning routine. Since mobile phones have taken over the world, most people start their morning by browsing through Social Media Apps. Sending Good Morning Messages on WhatsApp and browsing through Facebook Feeds & Instagram Reels are the activities we do once we start using Mobile in the morning.

There may be exceptions but for the majority, this is the morning routine. Morning is that time of the day that has to be carefully managed because the way you begin your day sets up your ton for the entire day. Waking Up seeing your friend’s WhatsApp Status where he or she is enjoying a vacation and imagining yourself spending the whole day in the office might induce depression at the start of the day itself.

Also, browsing through Facebook Feeds first thing in the morning and reading some negative posts about your political hero, your religion, or your ideology well that surely will not be a thing you want to read once you wake up. The frustration you feel after reading those posts and the irony that you can’t do anything over the same can be more painful.

So here is the solution for this early morning digital distraction. Apart from emergencies, start the Internet on your phone after 9 AM (assuming you wake up at 6 AM or 7 AM). For others, ideally 2 hours after you wake up. Instead of spending those 10 to 15 valuable minutes of your morning browsing through your Social Media Apps, you can use that time for a quick workout, a session of meditation, or reading a self-help book.  Also, morning (the time you wake up) is the time when the fear hormone is at its peak so it’s important to indulge in activities like meditation or exercise after you wake up.

So if you liked the  “The 9 AM Mobile Connect” method, then start using the same at the earliest & experience the difference you feel by making a very small but healthy change in your daily lifestyle.
