Digital Marketing as a Career

I am a Digital Marketer by passion & a founder of my own Digital Marketing Agency named Ved DigiConnect. The reason for choosing Digital Marketing as a career option was my interest in the field & also due to plenty of opportunities available in this field. Also, being a Digital Marketer is not that easy as you need to constantly update yourself & should have basic knowledge of various domains of Digital Marketing. The field is challenging and full of new innovations, and you must always be on your toes.

Now let’s check out various career options available in the field of Digital Marketing. Personally speaking, I am good at Social Media Marketing & SEO. Trying to upgrade my Blogging skills consistently & trying to become a pro in that field. Being a natural writer I personally like Blogging & plan to start a Blog on Health & Wellness in the near future so that I can share some tried & tested health & wellness tips with my readers.

Since Digital Marketing is such a vast field many freshers get confused as to which expertise to choose from. Content Writing, SEO, Website Development, Lead Generation, Social Media Marketing, E-Mail Marketing, and Google Ads are some of the domains in Digital Marketing. Firstly it is very difficult to master all the domains of Digital Marketing. If you do so then it is great. However, the common sense is to get a proper in-depth knowledge of Digital Marketing & then master two to three skills.

If you are planning to start your own Digital Marketing Agency you can follow the above idea. However, if you are planning to pursue your career as a Freelancer with some other parallel career option then you can specialize in a couple of domains like Creative Design, and Facebook Marketing & start giving service to your clients.  

Jobs in Digital Marketing

One of the lucrative & safe options is to get a Job in the Digital Marketing field. Currently, Digital Marketing is the need of the hour so there are some serious payments given by employers in this field. If you master even a single skill in Digital Marketing you can easily get a Job with a starting salary of 25K to 30K per month. You can upload your Digital Marketing profile on websites like Indeed & hunt for good Digital Marketing Jobs. Having your own Website is extremely beneficial & is an added advantage when you start hunting for Digital Marketing Jobs.

Digital Marketing Freelancer

Another career option in this field is to work as Freelancer. If you are an expert in a particular field say Website Development or Facebook Ads then you can start working for clients from this domain. After a few years of experience & if you want to pursue your career as Digital Marketer you can even think of starting your own Digital Marketing Agency.

Digital Marketing Agency

This is a perfect bet if you are planning to pursue Digital Marketing as a career option. After working for a few years as a Freelancer and if you have three to four clients paying you a good amount of money you can start your Digital Marketing Agency. You can have a small office with people working with you full time or you can sit at a workspace & have Freelancers working with you. I am currently following this module as I have just started my Digital Marketing Agency named Ved DigiConnect.

Once you have more than five to six high-ticket clients you can think of expanding like having a big office with a proper team of 5 to 6 people working for you. Depending on the performance of your agency you can decide on expansion.

Digital Marketing Training

This is to me one of the best Digital Marketing Career Options. If you like Digital Marketing & to teach people you can start giving training online. You can be a Freelancer providing Training to freshers and after some time once you develop your personal brand you can start your Digital Marketing Training Academy. You can collaborate with a few like-minded individuals & if you share a good rapport you can build an excellent digital marketing training academy. You can also have experts from other fields like health & wellness, finance, and affiliate marketing sharing their views & you can build a successful training venture like SuccessGyan

Other opportunities in this field are Blogging, Affiliate Marketing, E-Commerce Store, and Social Media influencers to name a few.

So if you are planning to start your professional career or to shift from your recent profession then you can definitely consider Digital Marketing as a career option in this age of Digital Technology.

If you are lucky you can come across some good Digital Marketing Training programs which will help you immensely in this field. I did a Digital Marketing Internship program conducted by Digital Deepak which is immensely helping  & guiding me in my journey from a Digital Marketing Freelancer to the founder of a Digital Marketing Agency.
