Lockdown_5 or Unlock_1!! Well, I prefer calling it Unlock_1 because we have had enough of Lockdowns for the last two and a half months. So welcome to the new phase of Unlock_1 with more relaxations. Being a Mumbaikar, unfortunately, the city with the maximum Corona Cases, the Blog in one for more sense is related to Mumbai when talking about Lockdown Rules & Relaxations.
So as per new guidelines by Maharashtra Govt. , I say 50 % of the City will be back on Track from 8th June i.e. next Monday. However, with no Local Trains, the remaining 50% like me will be Working From Home coz the only mode of travel for me to my office is by Local Train. However, Work from Home is not that easy, I personally prefer resuming office 15 days after Local Trains start again. Also, just hope Govt. is not in a hurry to start Local Trains with a rise of 1K cases in Mumbai daily. Maybe by looking at the situation on 30th June, Govt. should take a call regarding starting Local Trains.
Apart from Daily Essentials, almost all the shops in the cities have opened excluding those in Shopping Complex & Malls. The shop timings are from 9 AM to 5 PM & shops on the right side of the Road to be opened on Mon ? Wed ? Fri & shops on the left side on Tue ? Thu ? Sat. I seriously don?t know how BMC will figure out the right and left side of the road. However, that is their matter of concern. After two and a half months of strict Lockdown, I know many of us are dying to go out & Shop. However, wait for some more time. Only go out & buy what is necessary. If you are working on a Laptop you can go out and get the charger if there is an issue with Charger. But, if you want to buy a New TShirt when already you have half a dozen in your clothes rack. Kindly don?t hurry. Wait for some more time. Also, ordering online is a good option in this situation. Still only go out if and if it is required.
Private Offices will be starting next Monday. The rule is 10% of Staff or a maximum of 10 employees allowed to be present. It?s good that Local Trains have still not started so the Bosses whose prime objective is to earn money won?t force their employees to the office if they stay at faraway locations. Knowing the way Private works, I see most of the Bosses will try to call their maximum staff to the office even though they are doing a good job from ?Work From Home?. What about letting those guys continue working from home and just call them to the office once or twice a week if they stay nearby & if it is really important for them to be present at the office. I know Private Set up lacks common sense, so I am sensing a lot of ruckus & confusion from Monday. Ideally, Govt. who is doing a fantastic job so far should have started Private Offices from 15th June. Also, it is important to sanitize the premises completely & properly. I hope the Private Set-ups take this seriously.
Also, with Local Trains, not running Cabs & Autos will be a focus of attention now. I heard driver + 2 in Auto & driver + 3 in Cab. Not sure tough, also still not aware whether Autos and Cabs are allowed to take passengers who are not in daily essentials service. Just hope proper rules are circulated at the earliest. Also, Govt. has given permission to carry out Fitness activities in open. Still, I say you can do a good workout from Home if you know the different types of exercise for different body parts. I suggest continue your Workout from Home for some more days instead of going to Jogging Parks regularly. 2 to 3 Days of Jogging or walking is better as of now.
The purpose of writing this is not to make you afraid of Corona. That Job is for News Channels. Even today almost 98% of cases Globally are in mild condition. However, we need to be careful and don?t take COVID too lightly at the same time. Actually it is because of our declining Economy we have relaxed the Lockdown rules because if we had kept everything shut for more couple of months there would be more deaths due to starvation then due to Corona. Coz Indian Economy is way different from countries like the USA, England, Australia to name a few. So we need to unlock few things so that people start earning something. Just a small stat to end up my Blog. I follow COVID Tracker every closely. Sharing with you the statistics of May 5 & June 5 Cases in India. On the 5th of May India had 49,400 Cases of which 33,567 were active. On June 5 i.e. yesterday India has 2,36,001 cases of which 1,16,109 are active. So you can see the Spike. However, the Positive thing is that we are flattening the curve at the same time. I am sure we will Break the Chain.
So if you are going to the office or to your shops from Monday please take Extra Care because, with the density of Population, Social Distancing is simply a myth in Mumbai.
