The Love Story of Betrayal #FromHisDiary #Short Stories #Story1 #Part6 #MarraigeProposal

Shraddha’s birthday thankfully for some time took me back to normal. I really enjoyed those 4 to 5 hours spent with her. I wanted to spend my entire life with her after her indirect Marriage Proposal but … As I was thinking I took out my phone and saw seven missed calls from Rabia. I was a bit angry with her as I had already told her I was busy today studying for my MBA Exams. She once again called & for the first time, there was anger in my tone as I picked up the phone. I said to her that so many missed calls during my studies are disturbing for me & if this continues I will be left with no option but to block her number till my exams are over.
She literally started crying after hearing this & assured me that she won’t do it again. My anger also subsided and I asked her the reason for her series of calls. She said “After our first meeting yesterday it seems that I simply can’t get over you. Those couple of hours we spent with each other were divine for me. Apart from my troubled past, there are so many things about me that always keep me dejected. But yesterday for the first time I savoured the test of Biryani because I was sharing it with you. I want to be with you always. Can you meet me at the earliest?”
I had no option but to say Yes and she told me this time she would be meeting me at some lonely place. Finding a lonely place in Mumbai is a task but suddenly I remembered about my friend’s café at Dadar which is closed on Mondays. I had been there around 15 days back.  I told her to come to that café & shared the location for the same. I called my friend & told him that I would be needing the café for a few hours in the morning. He told me to take the key from a flower vendor whose shop is next to his café. He also said that the flower vendor comes at 6 AM every day so if you want to go early that is also a good option. I said thanks to him & thought of reaching there at 6:30 in the morning so that after Rabia’s meeting I could head to the office.

I messaged Rabia about the time to which she agreed & also told me that she would make Palak Parathas for Breakfast and bring them for me. I told her that no need for the trouble but she was adamant about the decision as this was the first time she would be bringing the food for me which was cooked by her. It was when my Mom said “Good Night” that I realized it was 11 PM.  I replied with a “Good Night” and also said to my Mom tomorrow I would be leaving at 5:30 AM to which she said fine and also advised me to sleep early. Usually, I sleep early because I hit Gym at 6 AM sharp. So my sleeping time is mostly 11 PM. But since last week or so my sleep schedule has gone completely haywire first due to the current workload and second due to Rabia. Tonight was also the same as a lot of things were going through my mind but somehow I managed to sleep at around 1 AM.

I got up at 5:30 AM, got ready & reached Dadar sharp at 6:15 AM. Since it was early morning there was hardly any traffic. I thought that I had reached early but to my surprise, Rabia was already standing outside the hotel with a Bag in her hand. I rushed towards her and asked why you came so early to which she replied, “It was the desperation of meeting you, so I left home early & came here around half an hour back.  I immediately took the keys from the flower vendor & opened the door of the Café and we went inside. Today Rabia was wearing a blue kurta and was looking gorgeous. Today she had also not covered her head & left her long hair open which was amplifying her beauty.

I was just getting over her beauty and all of a sudden the aroma of palak parathas took over the room. She opened the container in which she had brought parathas & served it to me on a paper plate she was carrying. She had also prepared chutney which she served along with the paratha. The taste of paratha was simply sensational and the chutney was equally delicious. She also started eating & told me that since you workout & are pure veg I made this healthy option for you. She was very happy that I was eating the food made by her and loved the taste. After the paratha party was done she told me that she wanted to tell me something important to me.

Rabia said “It has just been a few weeks since we started knowing each other, this is just our second meeting but I have started liking you and want to marry you. I know I am an Iraqi girl, you are an Indian boy, and our culture is different but my Love for you is above everything. Also, there are a lot of things about me that you don’t know which I want to share with you. Please accept my marriage proposal or else don’t know what I will do”. She came close to me & started crying by putting her head on my shoulder. I was also speechless and tried to console her by running my fingers through her hair. I immediately realized that I should smartly tackle this situation & slowly took her to the table and made her seat.

There was an influx of emotions we both were going through but I managed to control myself. I told her that I would need some time to think over your marriage proposal. Marriage that too between two individuals from different countries is not an immediate decision to make as there are a number of things that need to be sorted. I told her currently I am working and also pursuing my MBA so my entire focus is on that. Also, you are from Iraq, so getting your dad’s permission is also important. Same about me, I also need to discuss this with my parents. So Rabia I want at least a week to think over your Marriage Proposal.

Here is the 5th Part in case you missed it.
